ALBANY -- During this morning's Dougherty County Board of Education's Finance Committee meeting, the committee recommended taking the half days of Feb. 18, 19 and the full days of March 12 and May 25 for its three additional furlough days.
The furlough days are in response to Gov. Sonny Perdue's request that all state education employees take three non-paid, non-instructional
furlough days before June 30.
The Finance Committee's recommendation will be voted upon by the full board at the noon Wednesday mid-month board meeting at Monroe Comprehensive High School.
