ALBANY -- All aboard! It's time once again for the Flint River Model Railroad Train Show and Sale.
The 18th annual event, hosted by the Flint River Model Railroad Club of Albany, will be held 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday at Knights of Columbus Hall, located at 2009 Gillionville Road.
Admission is $4.50 for adults, $2.50 for ages 12-18 and free for children under 12 accompanied by an adult.
The event will feature operating Z, N, HO and O scale trains.
"We'll have operating layouts," show chairman Jimmie Swann said in a recent telephone interview.
Visitors can also purchase model trains, shirts, hats, paintings and additional memorabilia from vendors and appraisers from Georgia and such surrounding states as Alabama, Florida and Tennessee.
"We'll have anything to do with the railroad," Swann said, "from railroad spikes to lanterns."
According to Swann, last year's show drew approximately 800 visitors.
For more information, call Swann at (229) 883-3517.
