ALBANY, Ga. -- A morning burglary was foiled by an anonymous phone call and the arrival of Albany Police Department officers to the scene.
Officers arrived at a 2414 Habersham Road residence at 11 a.m. Thursday to find a burglary in progress, said Phyllis Banks, police spokeswoman.
The thieves were carrying two flat-screen televisions valued at $1,900 from the residence when officers arrived, Banks said. The thieves had entered the home through a front window, she added.
The officers put three males in custody and after questioning let one go because he had no role in the crime, a police report stated. The other two were charged with burglary, the report continued.
Tracy Lynn Town, 17, was still being processed into the Dougherty County jail at 6 p.m. Thursday, a jail spokeswoman said.
A 15-year-old was also charged with burglary and taken to the Regional Youth Detention Center, Banks said.
"The two televisions were recovered," Banks said, "and returned to the victim."
