In April of 2003, Willie Fred Bell of Pelham was found guilty of armed robbery, burglary and murder. The crime was committed in June of 2001 when Marvin Crossman, a 79-year-old trucking company owner, was stabbed to death. On Friday, July 9, the Georgia Supreme Cort vacated the convictions of armed robbery and burglary but upheld the murder conviction.
