Person of interest sought in assault

ALBANY, Ga. -- Albany police are searching for Alexander Cortez Moore, 23, as a person of interest for questioning in regard to an aggravated assault Saturday at 110 S. Slappey Blvd.

When police arrived at the location at 2:18 a.m. Saturday, they discovered Roland Watts, 48, who was bleeding from a head injury. An employee at Checkers had noticed that Watts was injured and called 911, police said. EMS arrived on the scene and transported Watts to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Officers also learned that the victim's 2006 bronze Honda Accord, his cell phone and his wallet were all missing.
