With 37 percent of the precincts reporting, Mike Keown of Coolidge appears to have an insurmountable lead in the GOP primary.
Keown was pulling in more than 80 percent of the vote over his two challengers, Lee Ferrell of Albany and Rick Allen of Columbus.
The Secretary of State reports that Keown has 7,986 votes to Ferrell's 761 and Allen's 1,191.
Keown will face longtime U.S. Rep. Sanford Bishop, who ran unoppoed, in the Nov. 2 general election.
