Police/Fire/EMS July 23, 2010

ALBANY -- Albany police responded to at least 38 incidents Wednesday into the early hours of Thursday, according to available police reports. Police responded to incidents including:

-- Cruelty to animals on the 800 block of Seventh Avenue;

-- Theft by taking cash on the 400 block of Pine Avenue;

-- Criminal trespass, a vehicles tires slashed on the 300 block of Carriage lane;

-- Disorderly conduct, a drunk smashing bottles on the sidewalk on the 300 block of Highland Avenue;

-- Recovered stolen vehicle on the 900 block of Randolph Street;

-- Theft by taking an air conditioner on the 1300 block of Society Avenue;

-- Forgery on the 2400 block of Sylvester Road;

-- Simple assault on the 200 block of North Mock Road;

-- Felony theft by taking on the 800 block of West Broad Avenue;

-- Burglary on the 300 block of Shadowlawn Drive and the 500 block of North Westover Boulevard;

-- Stalking on the 2000 block of Palmyra Road;

--Vandalism, obstruction (family violence) on the 1000 block of Dunes Drive;

-- Felony theft by taking (family violence) on the 1900 block of Highland Avenue;

--Vandalism (family violence) on the 4000 block of Gillionville Road;

-- Battery (domestic violence) on the 900 block of Leisure Court;

DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least 18 calls, according to police reports.

Police responded to incidents including:

-- Vehicle crash with injury on the 2200 block of Liberty Expressway;

-- Criminal trespass, two tires on a 2000 Ford expedition were flattened on the 2700 block of Astoria Drive;

-- Burglary, theft of $4,100 in consumer electronics on the 2300 block of Rosement Court;

-- Theft of a wallet and debit card on the 800 block of Putney Avenue;

-- Missing person, a 16-year-old girl reported missing from the 3000 block of East Park Court;

DOUGHERTY EMS: Emergency medical services responded to 49 calls on Wednesday. There were 38 medical calls and 11 trauma calls. Medical calls included, six chest pains, six respiratory problems, two faint, four seizures, two obstetrics, one mental problems, four miscellaneous pain calls, one heat related call and 12 various medical. Trauma calls included three vehicle crash injuries, one pedestrian crash, six falls, one fight/assault. Other calls are typically standby for other units and patient transport.

ALBANY FIRE: Albany firefighters responded to 24 calls Monday through Wednesday including:

-- An unauthorized burning, four activated alarms, four electrical shorts, four EMS assists, first aid administered, four structure fires, a grass fire, two false alarms, a vehicle crash and a public service call.
