More than two pounds of marijuana and $635 in cash is displayed on a table at the Albany Dougherty Drug Unit headquarters Friday. Agents say that Calvin Denard King, 24, who was already busted less than 10 months ago in Spaulding County for drug trafficking, was arrested in a raid on his Station Crossing apartment Thursday night.
Calvin Denard King, 24, can now add possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession with intent within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime to his growing arrest record, Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit Commander Maj. Bill Berry said.
Drug agents served a search warrant on apartment B at 333 Station Crossing Drive just before 6 p.m. Thursday night after weeks of surveilling the home and investigating following a tip.
Just last month, Berry says that King had made arrangements to transfer his probation from Spalding County to Dougherty County, after being charged with trafficking marijuana, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a firearm during the commission of crime.
He's now being held without bond at the Dougherty County Jail.
