Police investigate motor vehicle theft

ALBANY, Ga. -- Just after 11 p.m. Thursday, Albany Police Department officers responded to 611 W. Second Ave. in reference to a robbery.

When police arrived, the victim, identified as Kimble Broussard, reported that she was sitting in her car in her front yard when two armed, masked suspects approached her vehicle. They forced her out the vehicle and into the house, where there were four people inside, and demanded money, police reports say.

After getting an undetermined amount of money, the suspects fled the scene in the victim's 2002 burgundy Cadillac Deville. The vehicle was later recovered at Hobson Court and Barkley Street, on fire, at approximately 11:30 p.m.

The first suspect was described as a light-skinned black male, 20-22 years old, approximately 140 to 150 pounds in weight, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches in height and wearing a red bandanna covering his face. He also wore a gray T-shirt and blue jeans.

The second suspect was described as a dark-skinned black male, approximately 6 feet tall, 20-22 years old and 155-160 pounds in weight. He had a towel covering his face and wore a black cap, black shirt and dark colored jeans. He was carrying a black handgun.
