ALBANY, Ga. -- A Darton College student disappeared Sunday while bicycling to campus. The Darton College Police Department would like help finding him, a police e-mail stated.

Brandon David Schiff, 21, a dormitory resident, is described in the e-mail as 5-foot-7 and weighing about 127 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.

"He was last seen at 7 p.m. July 25 riding a custom, marathon, 10-speed style bicycle with a green wheel and purple chain," said Krista Robitz, Darton's director of communications and philanthropy.

"He built that bike himself and rides it everywhere," Robitz said. "He does not own a vehicle."

The last people to see Schiff were friends at a home about two miles off campus, Robitz said. He didn't sleep in the dorm that night and he missed his Monday classes, she added.

Schiff is from Cummings, in the Atlanta area, Robitz said. His mother is driving to Albany, Robitz added at about 4:30 p.m.

"One of the students in the dorm reported he was missing to an RA (resident assistant)," Robitz said. "The Albany Police Department is working hand in hand with the Darton police."

Anyone with information on Schiff is asked to call the Darton College Police Department at (229) 317-6315 or (229) 344-2029.
