ALBANY, Ga. -- Two Flash Foods convenience stores were robbed within an hour of each other in the early morning hours Monday.
At 3:08 a.m., three suspects armed with handguns entered the Flash Foods at 2701 Gillionville Road and demanded money from the clerk.
They fled the scene with an unknown amount of cash and cigarettes.
The first suspect in the incident was wearing a white shirt with dark shorts and a bandanna. The second suspect was wearing a dark shirt, dark shorts and a red bandanna. The third suspect was seen wearing a white shirt, dark shorts and a blue bandanna.
At 3:43 a.m., the Flash Foods at 2447 N. Slappey Blvd. was burglarized. Three armed suspects entered the store and demanded money. These suspects also left the scene with an unknown amount of cash and cigarettes.
The first suspect from the second incident was wearing a white shirt, dark shorts and a bandanna. The second suspect was wearing a brown shirt, dark shorts and a bandanna. The third suspect was wearing a white shirt, dark shorts and a bandanna.
Officials believe a 1990s model dark green Honda was involved in the robbery on North Slappey Boulevard, a news release from the Albany Police Department said.
