ALBANY, Ga. -- Wanted by the Albany Police Department, Demontavious Davis turned himself in at the Dougherty County Jail Monday, a police official said.
Davis, 19, was wanted in connection with thefts of electronics in several East Albany burglaries, APD spokeswoman Phyllis Banks said.
The arrest follows a June 3 police appeal requesting that anyone knowing Davis' whereabouts contact the department. Apparently, Davis saw his picture in The Albany Herald and turned himself in, Banks said.
Also known as "Booker T," Davis, with a last known address on the 100 block of Shelby Lane, was wanted on a probation violation in addition to the burglary charges, Banks said.
