Theatre Albany begins auditions

ALBANY -- Theatre Albany Artistic Director Mark Costello has announced that the theater will conduct auditions at 7 p.m. Sunday and Monday for the musical "Why Do Fools Fall in Love," by Roger Bean. The auditions will be at the theater, 514 Pine Ave.

Bean has credited a delightful musical wherein, four girlfriends gather to celebrate the upcoming wedding of one of their own. As the bachelorette party picks up steam and the drinks flow, the girls discover more about each other's love lives than they had ever imagined.

Costello and Choreographer Judy Dabbs are looking to cast four women ranging in age from 20s to early 30s. Those interested in auditioning should prepare a song to sing and there will cold readings from the script. Rehearsals are set to begin next month with performances scheduled for Aug. 13 through 28.
