ALBANY, Ga. -- Albany police responded to at least 36 incidents Friday into the early hours of Saturday, according to available police reports. Police responded to incidents including:
-- Theft by deception, a man on the 2300 block of West Gordon Avenue loaned his cell phone to a man he met online when the man met him at the Gordon Avenue residence. The man who borrowed the cell phone left and did not return. When the owner of the cell phone called the phone, he was asked for $45 for the return of the phone;
-- Aggravated assault, responding to gunshots fired in the area police found a couple who reported a man pointed a gun at them on the 300 block of Carriage lane;
-- Rape reported on the 200 block of Sixth Avenue;
-- Aggravated assault on the 1600 block of Gillespie Avenue;
-- Entering auto on the 2000 block of Gail Avenue;
-- Forgery, passing bogus currency on the 1500 block of Dawson Road;
-- Injured person, dog bite reported by a victim on the 2700 block of Michael Road;
-- Burglary on the 1800 block of Pineknoll Lane, the 2300 block of Sharon Drive, the 400 block of South Shadowlawn Drive and the 1000 block of West Lincoln Avenue;
-- Motor vehicle theft on the 700 block of West Lincoln Drive;
-- Domestic violence (unfounded) on the 1100 block of Gillionville Road, the 1000 block of Relswood Terrace and the 800 block of Mercedes Street;
-- Simple battery (domestic) on the 700 block of Monroe Street.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least 28 calls, according to police reports.
Police responded to incidents including:
-- Traffic arrest on the 1100 block of West Oakridge Drive, the 800 block of Philema Road, the 1700 block of Moultrie Road, Martin Luther King Jr. Drive at Southgate Avenue, the 400 block of South Mock Road and the 3000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive;
-- Vehicle crash into a deer on the 4200 block of Sylvester Road;
-- Criminal trespass on the 2800 block of Astoria Drive;
-- Forgery, a $150 stolen check was cashed on the 1000 block of Pine Avenue;
-- Animal investigation, a 14-year-old boy was bitten by his pet dog on the 1400 block of Broach Avenue.
