ALBANY -- Albany police responded to at least 42 incidents Thursday into the early morning hours of Friday, according to available police reports. Police responded to incidents including:
-- Burglary on the 1300 block of Moultrie Road, the 1900 block of Lake Ridge Drive and the 700 block of Bonnie View Avenue;
-- Discharge of a firearm near a road on the 200 block of Radium Springs Road;
-- Armed robbery, four men robbed a man of his wallet, a $40 gift card, $20 cash, debit cards and fireworks at gunpoint on the 1800 block of Gadsden Road;
-- Battery on the 400 block of West Third Avenue;
-- Public indecency on the 2400 block of Dawson road;
-- Entering auto, theft of a handgun on the 2000 block of Pearl Avenue and the 2200 block of Gillionville Road;
-- Child molestation on the 700 block of Moultrie road;
-- felony theft by taking a pit bull dog on the 200 block of 20th Avenue;
-- Aggravated assault with a knife on the 1200 block of Schley Avenue;
-- Forgery on the 2700 block of Dawson road and the 400 block of Slappey Boulevard;
-- Domestic (unfounded) on the 600 block of Moultrie Road, the 1400 block of Whitney Avenue, the 700 block of Holloway Avenue and the 100 block of Gillespie Drive;
-- Simple battery (domestic violence) on the 2500 block of Slappey Boulevard.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least 15 calls, according to police reports.
Police responded to incidents including:
-- Business license check on the 4500 block of Sylvester Road;
-- Traffic crash involving a vehicle ran into a buzzard that flew from the median on the 1400 block of Liberty Expressway;
-- Domestic violence (battery, aggravated assault) brothers got into a fight at a residence on the 300 block of Pinson Road. One brother pulled a knife and was taken into custody to the the Regional Youth Detention Center;
DOUGHERTY EMS: Emergency medical services responded to 48 calls on Thursday There were 35 medical calls, 12 trauma calls and one other call. Medical calls included, four chest pains, three respiratory problems, two faint, two altered mental state, three diabetic complaints, three seizures, one obstetrics, two miscellaneous pain calls, two stroke symptoms and 13 various medical. Trauma calls included seven vehicle crash injuries, four falls and one eye injury. Other calls are typically standby for other units and patient transport.
ALBANY FIRE: Albany firefighters responded to 16 calls Wednesday and Thursday including:
-- Two fire safety programs, two electrical shorts, two grass fires, a building fire out on arrival, two false alarms, two assist EMS, three activated alarms, gas leak in residence and PVC pipes and wooden power line poles on fire.
