Police officials say that two people have been arrested in a drug bust in eastern Dougherty County as the result of a search warrant served at 10:30 a.m. today. Husband and wife, Michael Leroy Anthony and Noleen Anthony are being charged with manufacturing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute and possesion of marijuana. Officials seized about 1,000 grams of packaged crystal meth as well as ground-up cold tablets suspected for use in the manufacturing of meth.
The location of the suspected lab is 2242 Duitman Avenue off Mock Road. ADDU officials say the facility was not a full-blown meth lab, but contained enough hazardous materials that the unit's Clandestine Lab Response Team had to be called in to process the site.
One Albany Dopugherty Drug Unit agent was treated at the scene by EMS for exposure to vapors associated with the meth lab. The agent is in good condition and did not require any additional treatment.
This story will be updated as more details become available.
