Person of interest questioned in Valentine's Day murder

ALBANY -- The Albany Police Department questioned a person of interest Monday night in connection with the homicide of 20-year-old Flovilla resident LeSheldon Kernard Stanford who was killed Feb. 14 at Brick House Productions on 1708 Schilling Road.

Shuntavious Jermaine Seay, 19, turned himself in Monday around 8 p.m., said APD Spokesperson Phyllis Banks.

So far, eight arrests have been made in connection to Stanford's death. Seay's relatives, Antonio Seay, Shacoby Seay and Taneisha Seay, are facing charges stemming from the February incident.

Albany police have continued to interview numerous witnesses and make arrests as they investigate the fight lead to the fatality at Brick House Productions in the early morning hours of Feb 14.

Investigators said the fight spilled into the parking lot of the business and led to multiple shots being fired at about 5:30 a.m. in which Stanford was hit and killed.

In addition to the death of Stanford, a security guard at the business also suffered a gunshot wound to his arm. He was treated and released from Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

On Feb. 26, the Albany City Commission voted to revoke the business licenses for Brick House Productions and Brick City where the homicide took place.

Police have arrested several individuals in the subsequent investigation by no one has been charged with Stanford's death.
