ALBANY -- The Deerfield-Windsor girls soccer team improved to 2-2 on the season Thursday with a 10-0 stomping of rival Southland, while also picking an opening Region 3-AAA victory in the process.
Goals were scored by Lacey Kincheloe (3), Mallory Morgan, Candace Cosby, Kayla Hatcher, Brooke Breen, Anna Matthews and Casey Kincheloe. DWS also benefitted from an own-goal by Southland.
Goalies Katie Williams Bailey Weed combined in the shutout.

BASEBALL RAINOUTS:
Sherwood's season opener against Southland was rained out, as was Baconton Charter's showdown with Worth County; Randolph Southern's game vs. SGA and Monroe's contest vs. Terrell County.
