The Lee County girls won all three of their games this weekend in a St. Simons Island tourney, leaving Lady Trojans coach Dave Baltenberger with plenty of optimism.
"They really played well," said Baltenberger, whose team is 8-1-1. "We played teams we don't normally see and it gave the players a chance to be seen by scouts."
Lee beat Richmond Academy, 7-1, and then beat Wayne County (2-0) and Northside, Columbus (5-0). Rachel Hatch and Haley Cimino scored four goals each during the tournament, and either goals or assists were also attributed to Casey Schoenberger, Carsen Taylor, Sarah Sheffield, Tyra Teadt, Lindsey Crawford and Kristi Sheridan.
Lady Trojans goalkeeper Ashley Law had only four saves the entire tourney because the ball was mostly controlled by her teammates.
