Dougherty County School System finalists Roy Brooks and Vayla Lee are two of the three finalists that were announced March 13 for the Sumter County School System's superintendent job.
Brooks of Little Rock, Ark., and Lee of Clayton County each withdrew their names, along with three other candidates that interviewed for the DCSS position, in late February to clear the way for Albany State University executive Joshua Murfree to be the only finalist remaining for the DCSS superintendent job.
Both the Dougherty and Sumter county searches were conducted by Georgia School Boards Association consultant Bill Sampson.
