Dougherty High School will hold a reception at 6 p.m. Thursday in the school's cafeteria, giving fans a chance to meet new Trojans coach Jesse Hicks.
Hicks, who was a former football player and assistant at Albany State, will guide the Trojans through their first day of spring practice on Friday afternoon.
GSW BASEBALL: Georgia Southwestern fell behind, 8-0, and never recovered against Augusta State, which won, 9-6.
The loss ended a five-game winning streak for GSW.
The losing pitcher was Tyler Daniel, and teammate Kevin Carroll went 1-for-3 with two RBI.
