Police/Fire/EMS March 23, 2010

ALBANY -- Albany Police Department officers responded to at least 23 incidents Sunday, according to reports. The incidents included:

-- Domestic dispute (unfounded) on the 1500 block of East Society Avenue, the 300 block of Grant Place, the 1900 block of Buck Lane, the 1100 block of Eager Lane, the 2400 block of Brierwood Drive, the 500 block of Louis Avenue, the 200 block of North Mock Road and the 1300 block of Fourth Avenue;

-- Theft by taking of a motor vehicle on the 1300 block of Seventh Avenue;

-- Criminal trespass on the 800 block of West First Avenue and the 600 block of West Gordon Avenue;

-- Simple battery (domestic violence) on the 900 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard;

-- Shoplifting on the 2300 block of North Slappey Boulevard;

-- Entering auto on the 1400 block of Edgewood Lane, the 1200 block of Pinecrest Drive and the 2100 block of Robinhood Road;

-- Simple battery on the 200 block of Edison Drive and the 700 block of Ninth Avenue.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County Police responded to at least 43 calls and five incidents Saturday and Sunday, according to reports.

Police responded to incidents including:

-- Burglary on the 2500 block of Imperial Street;

-- Theft on the 2500 block of Charles Court;

-- Traffic accident from striking deer at the intersection of Old Dawson Road and Old Ivy Lane;

-- Domestic violence on the 1000 block of Nelms Road;

-- Traffic arrest (driving while license suspended) on the 2700 block of Fleming Road.

DOUGHERTY EMS: Emergency Medical Services responded to 166 calls over the weekend. There were 118 medical calls, 40 trauma calls and eight other calls. Medical calls included nine chest pains, 12 respiratory problems, eight faintings, two nausea, eight mental health, six altered mental status, four seizures, nine diabetic issues, two labor calls, one cardiac arrest, one choking, one allergic reaction, one possible stroke symptom, seven miscellaneous pain calls and 49 various medical calls. Trauma calls included 15 vehicle crash injuries, two pedestrian accidents, one cut, two eye injuries, nine falls, 10 fights and one person was shot.
