An effort to reconsider the creation of a small business program died Tuesday during a spirited discussion and vote.
Commissioner Jon Howard made a motion to reconsider the program which had previously been voted down by the commission on a 5-3 vote March 23.
Under parliamentary procedure, the program could only be reconsidered if a motion was offered by someone who had voted against it and supported through a second by another commissioner who voted against it originally.
