SAVANNAH -- Two pitchers. Ten combined innings of work. Twenty strikeouts between the two.

That will help you win a lot of ballgames.

Such was the case of Calvary Day in the second round of Class A playoffs.

Junior Dom DeMasi was stellar in Game 1 of the best-of-three series then sophomore Ryan Lawlor provided the encore on Game 2 as the Cavaliers took victories of 5-2 and 11-0 to sweep Seminole County and move on to the state quarterfinal.

The only hit Calvary allowed in Game 1 was a home run by Seminole's Samuel Buczek to left field in the fourth inning.

"We just didn't hit the ball at all," Seminole County coach Truette Johnson said. "And once we lost that first game, we were just deflated."

In Game 2, the only highlights for Seminole were doubles by Buczek and Quan Johnson. Jake Vinson took the loss in Game 1, while Buczek shouldered the loss in Game 2.

The Indians end their season at 18-6.
