ALBANY -- Despite a dominating 44-5 victory against Stillman on Saturday, Albany State players didn't get recognized as much as usual by the SIAC this week.
Stanley Jennings' Newcomer of the Week award was the top honor for the Rams (9-0 overall, 8-0 in the SIAC) after he completed 14 of 22 passes for 279 yards and three touchdown, including passes of 70 and 60 yards.
He did all his damage in the first three quarters as the Rams had 442 yards of total offense, including 111 rushing yards.
Bobby Fitts won the only other major weekly award for ASU, as he was Offensive Lineman of the Week after anchoring the "Gold Rush" offense. He graded out at 93 percent.
Honorable Mentions went to receiver Ronnie Childs (four receptions, 111 yards, TD), Jamarkus Gaskins (3 sacks) and Tory Torstenson (5-for-6 on PATs, 1-for-2 on FGs).
