Police/Fire/EMS - November 3, 2010

ALBANY, Ga. -- Albany police responded to at least 34 incidents Monday, according to available police reports. Police responded to incidents including:

-- Possession of drug paraphernalia, a man had a crack pipe in his right shoe, on the 1300 block of Evelyn Avenue;

-- Theft by taking on the 1900 block of Buck Lane, the 2600 block of Lansing Drive and the 200 block of Lockette Station Road;

-- Missing juvenile on the 1600 block of Gary Avenue;

-- Rape on the 700 block of Mobile Avenue, the 1000 block of Coastline Avenue and the 2300 block of Jewel Street;

-- Burglary on the 2400 block of Leonard Avenue;

-- Burglary, theft of three rifles on the 2000 block of West Broad Avenue;

--Entering auto on the 1600 block of Oglethorpe Boulevard;

-- Injured person, dog bite of a person on the 1000 block of East Society Avenue;

-- Domestic (unfounded) on the 500 block of North Westover Boulevard, the 100 block of Mitchell Avenue, the 600 block of Parkwood Drive, on the 2600 block of Pine Valley Drive, the 400 block of Williams Street and the 500 block of Ninth Avenue;

-- Assault (family violence) on the 2200 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard and the 300 block of Mitchell Avenue;

-- Vandalism (family violence) on the 300 block of South Mock Road;

-- Simple battery, battery, cruelty to a child (domestic violence) on the 500 block of Pinson Road;

-- Violation of family violence order on the 1200 block of Gillespie Avenue.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least 27 calls, according to police reports.

Police responded to incidents including:

-- Criminal trespass, possession of marijuana on the 400 block of West Third Avenue;

-- Vehicle crash on the 1400 block of Liberty Expressway;

-- Domestic (unfounded) on the 3000 block of Tiger Court;

-- Simple battery (domestic) on the 400 block of Vine Lane;

-- Vehicle crash on the 4000 block of Moultrie Road and the 5100 block of Gillionville Road.

DOUGHERTY EMS: Emergency medical services responded to 58 calls on Monday. There were 39 medical calls, 14 trauma calls and five other calls. Medical calls included three chest pains, eight respiratory problems, one fainting, one diabetic complaint, three miscellaneous pain calls, one choking, two cardiac arrests and 20 various medical. Trauma calls included seven vehicle crash injuries, six falls and one fight/assault. Other calls are typically standby for other units and patient transport.

ALBANY FIRE: Albany firefighters responded to 50 calls, including seven activated alarms, 12 public service calls, four vehicle crashes, a road wash down, a power line down, three unauthorized burns, three EMS assists, an overheated motor, steam from clothes dryer vent, two grass fires, an overheated air conditioner, mailbox and discarded furniture on fire, tree limbs on fire, two trash fires, steam scare, a kitchen fire with $7,000 in damages, an electrical baking unit short causing $4,000 in damages to a kitchen, unattended cooking causing $2,500 in damage to a kitchen, and five false alarms.
