ALBANY, Ga. -- LaDerick Chappel, 31, is wanted for questioning in connection with the beating death of Frankie Carr, 54, on the 400 block of East Broad Avenue Oct. 29, stated an Albany Police Department e-mail.
"Chappel is considered a person of interest and is wanted for questioning only," said Phyllis Banks, police spokeswoman. "Chappel may have been in the area at the time of the incident and could have information that may be helpful to the case."
Banks said Chappel is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes and a medium build. He is also known as "Pee-Wee."
Gregory Spann, 30, is in Dougherty County Jail charged with felony murder and aggravated assault in connection with Carr's death.
Police officers are also looking for Regina Remart Wyatt, 53, for aggravated assault, the police e-mail stated.
A victim sitting on her porch on the 800 block of Cedar Avenue on Oct. 25 reported she was struck on the head with a beer bottle, Banks said.
