LEESBURG, Ga. -- While information was not available at press time Thursday, there were two additional standouts recognized Thursday night at the 22nd annual Lee County Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet.
Robin Chester was named Chamber Ambassador of the Year at the banquet, and Patrece Shiver, a fifth-grade teacher at Lee County Elementary, was recognized as the Lee County School System's Teacher of the Year.
The banquet was held at the Hasan Temple in Albany.
Chester and Shiver were recognized along with Lifetime Achievement Award winner Jack Miller, Man of the Year Fred Finney, Woman of the Year Ann Nix, Partner in Education Jeannie Johnson, Partners in Agriculture Sonny and Jackie Thaggard with T&T Farms, Business of the Year Chem Nut Inc. (headed by President/CEO Howard Corbett), and Nonprofit of the Year Megan's House (founded by Carol Hollomon).
