BREAKING NEWS: Westwood beats Memorial Day, 31-12, wins GISA Class A State Championship

SAVANNAH — Who says 13’s an unlucky number?

Westwood (13-0) completed a perfect season Friday with a 31-12 win against Memorial Day in Savannah in the GISA Class A State Championship game to win the school’s first state title since 2001.

Jake Edore and younger brother J.T. Edore gave Westwood an early 24-0 lead at halftime with hard running and Mason Worsham threw two TD passes as the Wildcats downed the defending Class AA state champs, who dropped down to Class A this season.
