Albany, GA - Those wishing to support a $50,000 Pepsi Refresh Grant for the Butterfly Kisses campaign have until midnight tonight to cast their vote.
Just after 4 p.m. today, the movement toward establishing a playground in Lee County for disabled children was still ranked No. 8. It needs to maintain a top 10 standing to win.
Traci Henry, the leader of the campaign, has said that she has gained a lot of positive feedback for her cause. "We've already had offers for land as well as donation of materials," she told The Herald earlier this month. "We have had an overwhelming response.
"I did not expect communities across the U.S. to pitch in. I have complete strangers e-mailing me, praising me. I'm just doing what any parent would do."
To vote, text 103013 to PEPSI (73774), go on Facebook or go online to www.refresheverything.com/butterflykisses. The website can also be used to track the latest standings.
