SASSER, Ga. -- Southwest Georgians will have an opportunity to experience singer/songwriter/comedian B.J. Davis's unique brand of entertainment Oct. 15 when he brings his No Limits Tour to the Sasser Flea Market.
Davis, who has rheumatoid arthritis and utilizes a wheelchair, said he hopes to inspire as well as entertain.
"This tour is going to be something special," Davis said in a release. "I'll be playing small- to medium-size markets at a wide variety of venues, working with a wide spectrum of organizations to raise awareness and/or resources and provide high-quality, affordable family-friendly entertainment."
Proceeds from the show will benefit Limb Support Inc. and the B.J. Davis Foundation, which is "dedicated to providing education and resources to ensure comfort, respect and dignity for all."
"When people ask about the B.J. Davis Foundation, I tell them we are a nonprofit that helps organizations and individuals who have fallen through the cracks," Davis said.
The star of the show will offer his unique comedic take on topics of interest while accompanying himself on musical selections from the three CDs he's released. His music runs the gamut of most genres.
"The tour schedule will be grueling at times, but my hope is that by just doing what I do, I will inspire others to strive to truly make a difference every single day," Davis said. "I look forward to performing in Sasser. The venue is family friendly, so I encourage people to bring their coolers, lawn chairs, their family and friends.
"I'll make sure that everyone has an experience they will never forget."
Tickets for the Friday show are $10 in advance, $15 at the gate, and are available at the Albany Welcome Center, eZee Copy, Wagner's Barbecue, Stardust 2 Carwash and Lube Center in Leesburg and at the Carroll's Sausage and Meats outlets in Albany, Sylvester and Sycamore. Children 12-under are admitted free.
