Albany, GA. - Albany Police officers responded to shots fired at 1420 Jones Avenue Sunday evening.
Michael Wells, 18, and Laak A. Luttrell, 20, went to the home of Wille Ware. Ware, 23, had gone outside to talk with the men when an altercation between the men flared up. At some point, Ware pulled a handgun and fired at Wells and Lutrell. At this time, it is unclear what lead to the altercation.
EMS treated the two gunshot victims. Both were transported to Phoebe Putney for further treatment.
The investigation has been turned over to the Gang Unit with the Dougherty County Police Department as an assisting agency.
Wells is in good condition and Luttrell is in fair condition at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
