ALBANY, Ga. -- A man found lying injured in a parking lot may have been run over by a pickup about 6 a.m. Saturday, stated an Albany Police Department report.

"Alonzo Devorl Jones, age 33, is a person of interest," said Phyllis Banks, police spokeswoman, "and is wanted only for questioning in this case."

Jones was described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing about 240 pounds.

According to reports, an officer on patrol spotted Wood lying in the Waffle House parking lot at 722 N. Westover Blvd. and investigated. From the investigation, officers found an unidentifiedman drove over Wood with a red pickup and then drove away.

Police called an ambulance and Wood was taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for observation and treatment, the report said. He was discharged the same day, said a hospital spokeswoman.
