TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Comedian Dane Cook's scheduled show at the Tallahassee-Leon County Civic Center Thursday and three other shows in Florida have been cancelled for "personal matters," according to a TLCCC release.

Cook was to open his 34-date tour at the Tallahassee venue Thursday and then play shows in Gainesville Friday, West Palm Beach Saturday and Tampa Sunday.

"I appreciate all the support from my fans in Florida, and I promise you all that I will be back soon," Cook said.

Ticketholders will be offered the opportunity to be placed on priority notification for premium seating for all of Cook's rescheduled Florida dates in the future. Refunds are available at the point of purchase.

Cook's tour will continue as planned through 30 cities in the United States and Canada starting now in Syracuse, N.Y., Oct. 26 and concluding Dec. 4. The tour will coincide with the planned Nov. 23 release of a "greatest hits" album.
