Police, Fire/EMS Oct. 29, 2010

ALBANY -- Albany police responded to at least 53 incidents , according to available police reports. Police responded to incidents including:

-- Officers cited George Bundrick of Albany for driving his 1999 Ford Explorer through a red light at about 4:30 p.m. and crashing into a 2003 Toyota SUV driven by Gwenda Daniels of Sycamore at the intersection of Cordele Road and Clark Avenue.

Bundrick walked away from the wreck, but Daniels and her two passengers, Kay Tennile, 28, and Kyler Tennile, 2, were taken for treatment to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital Wednesday. A hospital spokeswoman on Thursday said the facility had no patients by those names.

--Theft by taking on the 1400 block of Dawson Road, the 1900 block of Ridgemont Drive, the 2700 block of Dover Lane and the 2300 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;

-- Burglary on the 1900 block of Riverview Circle, the 100 block of Morningside Drive the 1300 block of 10th Avenue, the 1500 block of Malone Drive, the 7600 block of South Madison Street, the 200 block of Cordele Road, the 500 block of Dorsett Avenue and the 200 block of Kalman Drive;

-- Burglary, theft of $200 worth of meat from a freezer on the 200 block of West Tift Avenue;

-- Simple battery on the 1100 block of West Broad Avenue;

-- Reckless conduct on the 900 block of Willow Wood Drive;

-- Attempted armed robbery on the 2000 block of Clark Avenue;

-- Identity fraud on the 2600 block of Whispering Pines Road;

-- Motor vehicle theft on the 900 block of Crawford Drive;

-- Terroristic threats and acts (family violence) on the 1200 block of Teche Drive;

-- Battery (domestic) on the 400 block of West Society Avenue;

-- Domestic (unfounded) on the 2000 block of Tompkins Avenue, the 2600 block of Gillionville Road, the first block of West Oakridge Drive and the 2400 block of Dawson Road;

-- Assault, vandalism (family violence) on the 2300 block of West Gordon Avenue;

-- Assault (family violence) on the 1600 block of Schley Avenue.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least 22 calls, according to police reports.

Police responded to incidents including:

-- Vehicle crash involving a deer on the 100 block of Adelyn Road;

-- Animal control investigation, a pit bull tried to attack a lawnmower and the man driving it. When an officer arrived on the 900 block of Cordele Road the dog charged the officer, who shot and killed the dog. The dog's owner was contacted.

-- Family violence (verbal) on the 1300 block of Miller Street, the 3500 block of Oliver Street and the 3700 block of radial Avenue;

-- Family violence (verbal) and wanted person arrest on the 3600 block of Parr Avenue;

-- Burglary, theft of an X-Box and games worth $450 on the 3200 block of Sylvester Road;

-- Traffic arrest on the 2400 block of Dawson Road, at the intersection of East Oakridge Drive and Williams Street and at the intersection of North Jefferson Street and Philema Road.

ALBANY FIRE: Albany firefighters responded to 15 calls including:

-- assisting EMS with entry to a locked building, two trash fires, a grass fire, two entry to building assists with Albany police Department, trash bin fire, passenger vehicle fire, motor vehicle crash extraction of victims, made response to fire drill due to no notification to dispatch by school officials about it, Cardiac arrest patient, public service program, activated smoke detector, arson fire at vacant building and extrication of a motel guest's hand caught in ice machine.
