Police/Fire EMS Sept. 5, 2010

ALBANY -- Albany police responded to at least 52 incidents Friday into the early hours of Saturday, according to available reports. Police responded to incidents including:

-- Missing juveniles on the 2500 block of Crescent Drive and the 500 block of Cordele Road;

-- Theft by taking an appliance from a residence on the 1800 block of Seay Court;

-- Burglaries on the 500 block of Pinson Road, the 1200 block of West Highland Avenue, the 800 block of West Broad Avenue, the 2400 block of Brierwood Drive and the 1000 block of Dunes Avenue;

-- Theft by taking a purse on the 1100 block of Ninth Avenue;

-- Aggravated assault reported by a woman who said a man pointed a small black handgun at her on the 1300 block of Newton Road;

-- Missing person on the 2200 block of Gillionville Road;

-- Simple battery on the 300 block of West Tift Avenue;

-- Entering autos on the 1900 block of West Gordon Avenue and the 1700 block of Parker Avenue;

-- Forgery on the 1700 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;

-- Robbery by force; a bicycle reported stolen on the 600 block of North Jefferson Street;

-- Simple assault; a car pulled up to a residence and the driver fired two shots on the 500 block of Swift Street. No injuries reported;

-- Domestic disturbances (unfounded) on the 2000 block of Tompkins Avenue, the 1000 block of Cedar Avenue, the 2200 block of Arrowood Drive, the 500 block of West Roosevelt Avenue, the 2300 block of Gordon Avenue, the 1400 block of West Second Avenue, the 600 block of Cotton Avenue and the 1200 block of Colquitt Avenue;

-- Larcency (family violence) on the 1000 block of South Madison Street;

DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least 18 calls Friday, according to reports. Police responded to incidents including:

-- Theft of a $250 Sears push mower from a backyard on the 2700 block of Barnaby Drive;

-- Traffic arrest on the 600 block of the Liberty Expressway.
