LEESBURG -- The Lee County softball team routed sub-region foe Bainbridge, 15-0, in three innings Wednesday to improve to 11-4 overall and open sub-region play with a win.

Lindsay Tompkins, The Herald's reigning Player of the Year, picked up the win, striking out three Lady Bearcats batters.

But the story of the day was the big bats of the Lady Trojans, who saw several players get multiple hits, including: Hailey Scott (4-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI); Brandi Blount (2-for-2, 2B, RBI); Natalie Shriver (2-for-3, 3B, RBI); Jessi Jones (3-for-3, 2 RBI), Jordan Cheshire (2-for-3, 2B, RBI).

Getting their first hits for Lee off the bench were Kailynn Gore and Katherine McConnell, while starter Paiton Cromer also added a hit.
