Police/Fire/EMS - September 18, 2010

ALBANY, Ga. -- Albany police responded to at least 34 incidents Thursday into the early hours of Friday, according to available reports. Police responded to incidents including:

-- Motor vehicle theft on the 1100 block of Swift Avenue;

-- Injured person: A 3-year-old was bitten by a dog on the 1100 block of Dunes Avenue;

-- Theft by taking an unreported amount of cash on the 1200 block of Towering Pines Lane;

-- Disorderly conduct: Fights on the 200 block of Adelyn Road, the 2400 block of Dawson Road and the 1600 block of Newton Road;

-- Possession of less than an ounce of marijuana on the 1300 block of West Third Avenue;

-- Recovered property: A man on the 500 block of Jefferies Avenue noticed a man cleaning a television on his porch. He asked the man what he was doing on the porch. The man left the television and ran away;

-- Domestic disturbances (unfounded) on the 1300 block of South McKinley Street, the 200 block of Edward Drive, the 2000 block of Tompkins Avenue, the 300 block of Flintside Drive, the 900 block of Ninth Avenue and the 2700 block of Dawson Road;

-- Simple battery (domestic) on the 400 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard;

-- Domestic violence on the 1000 block of Cedar Avenue.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least 11 calls Thursday, according to reports. Police responded to incidents including:

-- Burglary on the 3200 block of Jaqueline Drive;

-- Traffic crash on Sylvester Road at County Line Road;

-- Theft of an air conditioner worth more than $200 on the 1200 block of Lajuana Drive.
