ALBANY, Ga. -- The word went out and three days later an Albany man turned himself in to Dougherty County jailers on aggravated assault charges, Albany Police Department reports stated.
"Johnathan Dewayne Ross turned himself in at the Dougherty County jail last night at approximately 9:20 p.m.," said Phyllis Banks, Albany Police Department spokeswoman.
Ross is charged with aggravated assault in connection with stabbing his ex-girlfriend, Lashonda Jones, 21, in the back during a disagreement, Banks said.
Jones was taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital after the alleged stabbing Friday. She was discharged the same day, said a hospital spokeswoman.
