ALBANY, Ga. -- Albany police responded to at least 32 incidents
Thursday into the early hours of Friday, according to available reports.
Police responded to incidents including:
-- Financial card transaction fraud on the 600 block of Mission Court;
-- Deceased person on the 2700 block of Ledo Road;
-- Forgery on the 100 block of Delta Street;
-- Theft by taking on the 200 block of Jackson Street;
-- Entering autos on the 1000 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard, the 1800 block of Gillionville Road, the 1100 block of West Broad Avenue and the 1200 block of West Broad Avenue;
-- Disorderly conduct, a fight, on the 1700 block of Gladsden Drive;
-- Burglaries on the 1000 block of of West First Street, the 900 block of Odom Avenue and the 700 block of Goodall Drive;
-- Simple battery on the 200 block of Slater King Drive;
-- Theft by taking a gun on the 200 block of South Monroe Street;
-- Counterfeit check written for $768 on the 2800 block of Old Dawson Road;
-- Possession of less than an ounce of marijuana on the 1700 block of Malone Drive and the 800 block of of Cedar Avenue;
-- Motor vehicle theft on the 900 block of West Lincoln Avenue;
-- Simple battery (family violence) on the 1500 block of East Residence Avenue and the 1200 block of West Lincoln Avenue;
-- Aggravated assault (family violence) on the 200 block of South Madison Street;
-- Domestic disturbance (unfounded) on the 1300 block of West Waddell Avenue;
-- Battery (domestic) on the 2100 block of Clerk Avenue.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least 20 calls Thursday, according to reports. Police responded to incidents including:
-- Traffic arrest/shoplifting on the 2400 block of the Liberty Expressway;
-- Traffic crash on the 2400 block of Radium Springs Road;
-- Animal investigation on the 3600 block of Plumcrest Avenue;
-- Whiskey violation: Two underage males possessed and consumed alcoholic beverages on the first block of Georgia Power Road;
-- Theft of goods from a store on the 300 block of South Westover Boulevard;
-- Domestic violence (simple battery) on the 400 block of South Westover Boulevard.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Emergency medical services responded to 57 calls on Thursday. There were 40 medical calls, seven trauma calls and 10 other calls. Medical calls included four chest pains, two respiratory problems, a heat-related call, one diabetic complaint, three seizures, one obstetrics call, one mental problem, eight miscellaneous pain calls, one cardiac arrest and 18 various medical issues. Trauma calls included two vehicle crash injuries, three falls and two fights/assaults. Other calls are typically standby for other units and patient transport.
ALBANY FIRE: Albany firefighters responded to 13 calls Thursday, including a downed power line, two cardiac arrests, an EMS assist, two public fire safety programs, unattended cooking fire with $500 in damage to building, a false alarm, gas odor, standby for aircraft, unauthorized burning and a vehicle fire.
