So maybe the critics will be silent while the bandwagon gets bigger for the Trojans, who knocked off previously unbeaten Northside, Columbus.

2. Bainbridge (2-2)
The Bearcats won't drop after playing tough against Northside, Warner Robins, the top-ranked Class AAAA team.Next: Friday vs. Hardaway, 7:30 p.m.
3. Mitchell (4-1)
The Eagles put up 50 in their first Region 1-A opener against Stewart County.
Next: Friday vs. Seminole. 7:30 p.m.
4. Randolph-Clay (4-0)
The Red Devils can run with anyone, and make their debut in The Herald Fab 5 poll after a 4-0 start.
Next: Friday vs. Stewart County, 7:30 p.m.
5. Deerfield-Windsor (5-0)
The Knights haven't been scored on in two weeks, Next: Oct. 8 vs. Pinewood, 7:30 p.m.

Johnny Foster, Randolph-Clay
Foster has gained more than 600 yards in his last three games, including a career-high 254 yards last week in a 28-26 Region 1-A victory against Pelham.

Herald Heisman Watch:
The Top 5 performers from last Friday who are making an early case for Player of the Year.
- Justin Walker, QB, Lee County: Threw four TD passes -- he has 19 for the season -- and 287 yards in a 31-14 win vs. Northside, Columbus.
- Denzel Eckles, RB, Lee County: Rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown and also had 47 yards receiving.
- Davis moore, RB/DB, Deerfield-Windsor: Rushed for 152 yards and three touchdowns, averaging 13.8 yards per carry in a 34-0 win vs. Bulloch.
- Jake Hood, QB, SOUTHLAND: Rushed for 165 yards on 22 carries, and scored a TD in a 28-14 win vs. Tiftarea.
- Marvin Grant, RB, Miller County: Rushed for a pair of 68-yard TDs and gained 168 yards on the ground in a 25-8 win vs. Terrell County.

Dynamite drop-in:
A look at the highlighted Herald Dynamite Dozen player of the week:
WHO: Taylor Tabb, RB/S, SGA.
WHY: Tabb did it again last Friday, dominating both sides of the line of scrimmage.
He scored four TDs in a 58-21 win vs. Troupe, rushing for 228 yards on 16 carries and scoring on two runs.
He also scored on a reception, and had two
interceptions, including one he returned for a TD.
