ALBANY, Ga: Albany police are working a reported robbery at a downtown ATM Wednesday night.
APD Spokesperson Phyllis Banks says that 28-year-old Shemika Mackeroy told investigators that while she was at the Bank of America ATM downtown Wednesday night, she was approached by a masked man armed with a handgun.
After the man demanded money, Mackeroy told police that she told the man that she didn't have much before ultimately handing over what Banks said was a small amount of cash.
The man then fled on foot.
