ALBANY, Ga. -- Albany police responded to at least 34 incidents Tuesday into the early hours of Wednesday, according to available reports. Police responded to incidents including:
-- Attempted burglary on the 500 block of Holloway Avenue;
-- Theft of a handgun on the 1000 block of Seventh Avenue;
-- Burglary on the 2000 block of Leonard Avenue;
-- Theft by taking a bicycle on the 300 block of South Slappey Boulevard;
-- Possession of marijuana on the 600 block of Sands Drive;
-- Simple battery on the 600 block of Slappey Boulevard;
-- Forgery; counterfeit check cashed on the 2600 block of Dawson Road;
-- Terrorist threats and acts on the 800 block of East Fourth Avenue;
-- Theft by taking on the 3100 block of Gray Stone Lane;
-- Motor vehicle theft on the 1500 block of North Slappey Boulevard; vehicle recovered on the 500 block of Seventh Avenue;
-- Domestic disturbance (unfounded) on the 800 block of South Jefferson Street;
-- Assaults (domestic) on the 2000 block of Tompkins Avenue at 10:30 a.m. and again at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday;
-- Assault (family violence) on the 1600 block of Gardner Avenue;
-- Simple battery (family violence) on the 1700 block of Melrose Drive;
-- Simple battery (domestic violence) on the first block of Sutton Place.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Emergency medical services responded to 65 calls on Tuesday. There were 45 medical calls, 14 trauma calls and six other calls. Medical calls included six chest pains, five respiratory problems, one person fainted, one obstetrics, two mental problems, nine miscellaneous pain calls, one cardiac arrest and 20 various medical issues. Trauma calls included seven vehicle crash injuries, five falls and two fights/assaults.
ALBANY FIRE: Albany firefighters responded to 12 calls Tuesday including a cardiac arrest, wiring short and fire, six activated alarms, air conditioner pulling in smoke from vent, motor vehicle crash pulled wire down, hydraulic fluid spill clean-up, and a bathroom water pipe leak.
