ALBANY, Ga. -- A thief stole a woman's purse, dropped it outside a local hospital and got away at 12:20 p.m. March 30, according to Albany Police Department officers.
Police are seeking a man caught by surveillance tape walking in a hallway at the time of the theft, the report added.
"I don't usually carry cash, but this day I did have $600," said the victim, who did not wish to have her name used. "He dropped the purse outside but took the money."
The man in the video was described as a black man, between 35 and 40 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing about 225 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark pants, a green shirt, a gray jacket with a dark blue stripe on the side and a black or brown baseball cap.
