ALBANY, Ga. -- Albany police and paramedics responded Saturday night to the scene of a reported stabbing at 320 S. Jackson St.
According to Albany police officials, husband and wife Cederic and Janice Waters, 39, were involved in a domestic dispute inside their apartment when their argument escalated and spilled over outside.
At some point, the husband returned back inside the apartment, retrieved a knife and proceeded to stab his wife. When police arrived, they discovered the victim outside the apartment in the parking lot. She was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for treatment after suffering several stab wounds.
The suspect, Cederic Waters, 37, is not in custody at this time. He is 6'2-6'3 and was last seen wearing a purple shirt, blue jean shorts and purple shoes. Detectives with Family Protection Unit were present at the scene and went the hospital with the victim.
