Nightlife coming alive Friday

ALBANY -- Downtown Albany is inviting adults downtown Friday to participate in Nights@dtown at 8 p.m. atop the parking deck on the corner of Broad Avenue and Jackson Street.

"Deck the Arts" is the first Friday evening event to be held. The regular event will be held on the last Friday of each month. City officials are hoping to encourage those 21 years old and older to attend this evening event with live music, art, food and drink.

The entertainment will be live music, artists performing live, and spoken word artists. Also, Friday evening will feature a roller skating group, jewelry maker, photographer and various food vendors. A special guest emcee will be Chad Schwartz.
