ALBANY -- A strong thunderstorm detected at 8:14 a.m. today is heading toward Albany, National Weather Service officials say.
The Weather Service has issued a thunderstorm warning for Dougherty, Lee, Calhoun, Worth and Turner counties. Forecasters say the storm is capable of creating quarter-sized hail.
The warning is in effect until 9 a.m. Weather officials say that if you're out and about that you seek shelter as soon as possible.
