Some sacrifices would relieve budget crunch

To help the federal, state and local budgets, I could do just fine without the United Nations. As a matter of fact, why don't we just ask them to relocate to another country willing to foot the bill for the upkeep?

I could do without the foreign aid that really isn't anything more than a paid tribute. About like we were required to pay the pirates at Tripoli, at least until they met our Marines.

Then there are the huge military garrisons we maintain all across the world, not to protect us, but to protect the countries they are situated in. Then there are the areas our troops are fighting and dying in. About time they footed the bill, or took over the work.

I could do without the work crews where one works and five watch. The small-town bus service that I see mostly riding around empty. The anchor babies, especially those that were deliberately designed to obtain citizenship like the Chicago Fiasco. (That would be Middle Eastern Women flying in, having the baby in an American hospital and then flying back to the Middle East without paying any of the bills. Plus, the child is a U.S. citizen.)

The free cell phones are another thing I could do without. What would you add to the list?
