ALBANY, Ga.: Two users of the popular social networking site Facebook carried their social skills too far recently and are now charged in unrelated incidents, police say.
In separate incidents and unrelated incidents, police say that a 14-year-old male juvenile stole a phone and uploaded a photo of him taken with the phone and showing it in the picture with him onto Facebook.
That boy, whose name has been withheld by police because of his age, was arrested after family members helped police locate him, Albany Police Spokesperson Phyllis Banks said.
He's being charged with theft.
In the second incident, police say that a female partially torched another woman's apartment after the two had gotten in an argument on Facebook.
The woman, whose name wasn't immediately released, is reportedly being charged with arson and terroristic threats stemming from the Thursday fire at an apartment on the 600 block of West Society Avenue.
Banks said that investigators believe that the suspect and the woman who lived at the residence had been arguing over Facebook when the suspect decided to try and burn the residence.
