On Sunday 8/14/2011, I learned that Honda is going to build a plant in Mexico, that will supply compact cars to north America.
I encourage Honda to rethink this decision, as most of the cars built will be sold in the U.S.A. With our country running a 9 percent-plus unemployment, and much higher in many areas, the work would be welcome, and related jobs would abound, further enhancing a large portion that region.
I find it appalling that Honda would take such action. Honda's decision is a slap in the face to most Americans, and is a deliberate attempt by Honda to "cheapen" up your product.
I encourage Honda to look again, and look hard at Southwest Georgia where we have a well qualified and adequately trained work force; several universities and trade schools; world class hospitals, and on and on.
Frankly, we have it all.
